  1. Hello Sandra, If you would like to work on a project with multiple computers, I strongly recommend using external drive storage over cloud server. The reason is that when you save a NVivo project file, cloud service client immediately attempts to synchronize these changes to the project file which is stored within the cloud. However, the client will be unable to access the project file because NVivo has exclusive access to the file while the project is open in NVivo which can cause problems that might even lead to data loss. 3. Hello, I'm having some issues trying to import video files into NVivo 12. Initially I tried importing the zoom video file in .mp4 format. I've also tried opening my video file in Quick Time Player and exporting it (now saved as a .mov file) but it still wont upload. It's showing an error message 'Unable to generate waveform'. Has anyone had similar difficulties trying to import video files into NVivo 12 on mac? Thank you! Elizabeth

  4. My thesis partner and I are in the process of coding our thesis in Nvivo. First we had to code separately and now in the final stage we should merge our two files, but here we get stuck. We both worked in Nvivo 1.4.1, the only difference is that she works on a MAC computer and I on a Windows. When we forwarded our files to each other, we did the following steps: Share < copy project < convert to MAC/Windows (depending on who was sending to whom). When I (Windows user) opened her file, I got error messages. The error message said "Conversion failed. Please check 'Project C

  5. Hi Sandra, You need to make a copy of your project and upload it to a share drive or save to a thumb drive. And then copy it to your other computer. I would recommend using one operating system with NVivo. So if you are using your Mac, you would use the Parallel software you have to open the NVivo Project in the Windows environment. You don't have to purchase two licenses if you purchase NVivo for Windows you can use install it on your Windows and Mac Computers.

  7. Hello again AmirM, When you follow above steps on the word "water" will be coded withe node you created. The content is displayed in gray by default that does not mean that those words will be coded. To check, open the node you created and select text tab and open one of the sources you will see that only "water" will be highlighted. Regards,
