  1. Hello QS, You may find below information useful. http://help-nv11.qsrinternational.com/desktop/procedures/recover_projects.htm Hope this helps,
  2. Hello Conwaypd, I could not have a chance to look at your project. However, the issue that you have mentioned is expected in projects where coders have saved query results since saved queries are also counted as codes. Therefore, please go to Search>query results folder, then delete all items. Hope this helps, With regards,
  3. Hello Lauren, If I understand you correctly what you try to achieve is to have "scores" that represents some sort of scaling instead of actual numeric scores. If you all you need to do is to create additional nodes (codes) for your scores and code your data accordingly. For example: 1) Somewhat Negative 2) Moderately Negative 3) Very Negative ----------- 1) Somewhat Positive 2) Moderately Positive 3) Very Positive ----------- Hope this helps,
  4. Hello Sergio, After importing a dataset (excel) file into Nvivo, you can not edit its content. With regards,
  5. Hello ASD, You can utilize "sets" and "matrix coding query" to see relevant frequencies. Let's assume you have 10 participants and 2,3,8, 10 are those who have high scores and the rest have lower scores. You will create a "high scores" set via selecting 2,3,8, and 10 and a "low scores" set with 1,4,5,6,7, and 9. After completing the coding for your research data, you should have a "colorful" code (and also other code you would like to see). Then you can create a matrix coding query via putting your sets on columns and your codes on rows. You will see coding references i.e frequency for codes you desire as a matrix table which you can export as an excel file. Hope this helps,
  6. Hello again Georgios, I have created a sample Nvivo project file using random data and coding based on your structure. You can check query results for getting an idea about matrix coding query output. Please note that you can export these tables as excel files. Hope this helps, I had to put in WeTransfer due to upload restriction. https://we.tl/t-qqHf7XAH65
  7. Hello Georgios, Nvivo absolutely can do what you would like to do with your research. As a first step, you can import all your research data and create a case for each interview. Next, I can see that you already have your themes, categories, and sub-categories. Therefore, you can create you node (code) structure in your Nvivo project using these. To give an example: Theme: Input Category: Financial resources Sub-Categories: Funds for athletes, Funds for coach education , etc. After completing your coding, you can utilize matrix coding query so that you can reach a matrix table that will be able to display your coding references for each node (in your case your textual elements) and coded cases (number of interviews) in both absolute and relative numbers. Hope this helps and please feel free to reach if you need further information. With kind regards,
  8. Hello Georgiois, Please find your project file attached. Due to upload restriction I have uploaded to WeTransfer https://we.tl/t-sjJA43USV5 Hope this helps,
  9. Hello Antonio, If I understand you correctly, you have a project with three files that were annotated by two different researchers as standalone project files and you want to merge them. However, after merge you would like to see that each of these three files shows annotations from both researches. If so, all you need to do is to open one of the project files and import the other one with below settings. You will see that there will be only one version of each file and you will get all annotations merged into that file. Hope this helps and please do not hesitate to reach me if you need further clarification. With regards,
  10. Hello kmariem1, Which versions are we talking about ? If you mean the most recent version of Nvivo for Mac while saying "new one", then the licensing procedure is totally different from older versions, it is not over application but through your Nvivo Portal account. On the other hand, your saved project would not be affected from Nvivo's licensing process. However, you might need to covert in order to be able use them in new version. Hope this helps,
  11. Hello again SNak, Nvivo has the capacity of working with external data sources. However, it does not work as you described. Below link will be helpful for your to understand how it works. http://help-nv11mac.qsrinternational.com/desktop/procedures/create_externals_for_sources_you_cannot_import.htm The current version of Nvivo for Mac does NOT have the feature of creating reports to export "content" as NVivo for Windows does. Therefore, currently you can only export coded content for each code in text formats like word, txt when you view them in reference view. Nvivo for Mac allows you to export your matrix coding query and cross tab query results in excel format. Thus, you can use them in both Excel and Tableau. Hope these helps, With kind regards, PS: I intentionally provided help documentation link for Nvivo 11 for Mac because somehow I find them more informative than the current version's and the content is still valid.
  12. Hello Tommy and Helen, Please note that data capture capacity on Capture extension is limited with Twitter's (or any other social media source's) data policy. Below you may find the details: The amount of data captured as a dataset by NCapture is determined by Twitter; this is because NCapture relies on Twitter's API (web connection to Twitter) to collect the data. Twitter’s API generally only provides Tweets from last 7 days. Depending upon how much data Twitter provides to NCapture, you may also sometimes see Tweets more than 7 days old getting captured. Please note older Tweets may not be captured, even if they are visible in your timeline due to Twitter API limitation. Hope this helps, With kind regards,
  13. Hello Snak, Could you please elaborate more on your question. - In which format you would need your coded content to be exported? - Which visualization tools are you planning to use? - What do you mean by "be updated real time"? (Please note that exporting is no different that exporting a picture from a Word file with "Save as picture" feature. Exported picture has no live connection with your original Word file. Thus if you make changes on the picture in your word file it will NOT affect the picture you imported before. Same rule applies to Nvivo.) With kind regards,
  14. Hello Philip, Annotating picture formatted PDFs is not support in Nvivo for Mac. Hope this helps, With kind regards,
  15. Hello Rosa MV, Nvivo for Mac help indicates that you can annotate documents, Pdfs, memos and externals. Thus you can not annotate JPEG data. However, you should be able to annotate a readable text format PDF after selecting the content and pressing Command+Shift+A. Hope this helps, With kind regards,
