Hello PTaylor, I just tried this myself. It looks like you can only have multiple colors for the hierarchy chart that shows all the the parent and child nodes. When you click on a parent node the only option is to have one color for all the child nodes.

Hi Tacska, I would try a matrix coding query to compare the two documents https://help-nv.qsrinternational.com/20/win/Content/queries/matrix-coding-query.htm

Filtering Final Codes Based on Identifying Question Responses
Stacy Penna replied to DrThisGuy's topic in NVivo for Windows
Hello I believe you can do this but I need to ask some experts, will be back -
Actually in the latest release NVivo (Release 1) you can change the coding stripe colors and then when you click on the coding stripe it show the coded text highlighted in that color https://help-nv.qsrinternational.com/20/win/Content/coding/coding-stripes.htm?Highlight=coding stripes#Changethecolorschemeforyourcodingstripes
-
In a matrix it could be 3 codes since it will also look for the sub codes.

Hi Hugo, Here is a link to more information about activating your license https://help-nv.qsrinternational.com/20/win/Content/about-nvivo/activate-license.htm?Highlight=activations but you might need to talk with our support team. I will make them aware of the issue.

Yes, the table format is the issue. If you highlight and then right click can you code that part just to the coding menu?

Excellent, thanks for sharing!

Hello, If you are coding the same text in the code to another code you can use coding stripes to help see where it has been coded. https://help-nv.qsrinternational.com/20/win/Content/coding/coding-stripes.htm?Highlight=coding stripes NVivo keeps track of coding references or each part of the text that you code. Hope this helps.
