  1. you can import all the 4 classification sheets into survey folder, and create set or group the attribute values.
  2. In the Nvivo sample project, I was running a group query to look for which interviews have been coded at economy nodes intersecting balance nodes, and how many references are intersecting them ? but if I was using a compound query to look for the same questions ( how many references are intersecting them) the query results were different from group query results, which means compound query results were included in group query results, if I only look at one interviewee, group query results have more references than compound query. why ?
  3. I was doing a sample project homework about Nvivo. The questions as below: 1.Run and save a Group Query to generate a list of all the nodes that are also coded at “Economy” a. The Balance node intersects with Economy in this list. From the list, how can you find out what Interviews have intersecting content? i. Which interviews are they and how many references are intersecting them? My answer is described as below : In the column of “Finds” at the summary tab, you can find the numbers for the results. Or go to the "Connection Map" Each line represents an association found between a scope item and a range item. Totally 6 interviews were found. Select all the 6 balance nodes intersecting with "tourism", "jobs and costing living", "Due to foreign competition", "Due to environment impacts of fishing", "Fishing or aquaculture", "Economy" Then right-click one of these 6 nodes, select "cases coded at these nodes" under Query command of pop up menu. The interviewees are William, Thomas,Ken,Helen,Betty,Barbara. Select all the 6 cases and right click, choose "hierarchy chart of files, coded at these cases" under "visualize" of pop up menu. At last, the results will be shown at the summary tab, displaying the number of coding references with Barbara 16, Thomas 8, William 8, Hellen 7, Betty 1, Ken 6. 2. You suspect that there were other Interviewees who also talked about Economy and Balance, but perhaps not at exactly the same location in the transcript, so you decide to run and save a Compound Query (and you also save the Results!) to look at Economy and Balance, as long as they are coded anywhere in the same Interview. a. Which Interviews have these two nodes applied somewhere in the transcript and how many references are intersecting them My answer is described as below : I run a Compound Query, I added "economy" nodes to coding query(all these codes and cases) in the subquery 1, then I added the "balance" node to coding query(all these codes and cases) in the subquery 2. After that, I use "OR" to define both nodes' relationships. From the" In "list, select the items on all 6 cases(Barbara, Thomas, William, Hellen, Betty, Ken). The final results are Barbara 1, Thomas 1, William 2, Hellen 5, Betty 2, Ken 1. My original thoughts were using "and" to define the two nodes' relationship, but the query returned no results. So I am not quite sure about my answer regarding this question. 3. Write a brief memo explaining why the reference counts in the Group Query and Compound Query are similar or different, and why a researcher might have a preference to run the Group Query or why she might have a preference to run the Compound Query? I do not know about this question
  4. why the reference counts in the Group Query and Compound Query are similar or different, and why a researcher might have a preference to run the Group Query or why she might have a preference to run the Compound Query?
  5. anyone can tell me the steps of creating a set in Nvivo 12 for mac, for example, create the combination of “Township = Smyrna”, who think the “Pace ofDevelopment = Too fast” and who participate in “Recreational Fishing = yes”so that these cases can be placed in the column of a Matrix Coding Query.
  6. someone can help me !!!! ways to look for cases by attribute except using advanced find. for example, create the combination of “Township = Smyrna”, who think the “Pace of Development = Too fast” and who participate in “Recreational Fishing = yes” so that these cases can be placed in the column of a Matrix Coding Query. I know that group query can filter the cases out, any other ways?

    Longitudinal data

If time as an attribute, what tools can I use to analyze different time and how would I use it in Nvivo 12?
