I'm going nuts trying to import my attributes from excell.

I have followed the format requirements exactly as shown in the on-line help file.

I have saved it as a text file, tab delimited.

When I try to import, I can get an error message saying the headings aren't tabbed.

I opened the text file, and the headings are tabbed.

Anyone else experienced this problem or know how to overcome it?

Hi Wayne,

I'm assuming you are talking about NV7. This has been discussed before, but it came in under a relatively old message so you probably didn't find it. If you click on "Search" at the top of this Forum page and type in "attribute", you'll get the various solutions people have found. Basically it is beacuse NVivo is looking for a Unicode file by default and all us NVivo 2 users are used to working with plain text (ASCII files).

Cheers,

Leonie
