Germsaco
Hi community, Im starting with Nvivo I have a simple question. ¿What is best to code on files or in cases? I know the answer might depend on many factors. So my question is ¿What are the uses or benefits o coding either on files or cases? Thanks,
Solution canarik Posted January 25 Solution Report Share Posted January 25 Hello @Germsaco, Cases are special type of codes that represent the unit of analysis in a project. For further details please refer here. Therefore, let's say you have 14 participants and 14 Word files for each participant interview transcription. You would need to create cases for each participant. In such a project setting you can perform coding either with in a case or file. There will be no difference. I hope this helps, Regards,
