Kay123
What do we do after we are done coding our data? How do we review the codes and download/export them for further analysis and presentation of the information either in writing or ppt.? Kath McNiff
Hi Kay123, After you've coded your data you can: Open each node (code) and review all the material about a topic in one place. You can create a memo to capture your insights and you can 'code on' from the node to more analytical themes. Use queries to check for patterns, inconsistencies and coding co-occurrence (for example, show me content coded at 'health' and 'stress') Use visualizations to see what's happening in the data. Refer to Move forward with queries and visualizations for more ideas. Export the contents of a node and work with it in Word (right-click on a node and choose Export - then you can choose to save the reference view as a Word doc, .odt or text file). If you want to know more about how to work with coded data you may find the book Qualitative Data Analysis with NVivo (Bazeley and Jackson) to be a really useful resource. Hope this is helpful.
