Counts are wrong in queries

Recommended Posts

I’ve coded a few hundred source files that are pdfs. But now, when I try to run queries, the counts within the node matrix are much lower than they should be. So, for instance, one cross-tab for two nodes should give me a count of 26 (i.e., 26 source files coded at both nodes) but instead I get a count of 1. Anyone have any ideas as to what might be the reason for this problem?

Any help would be very much appreciated!

Hi vincema,

A Matrix Coding query by default gives you the coding references that are common in both the row and the column items.

You can check the common sources coded between both two nodes by changing the information displayed in Matrix cells as per the below NVivo help link:

If you experience any further issues or the above does not apply, please fill out a support request form at: http://www.qsrinternational.com/Support/Contact-Support & we’ll be able to assist you further.

Hope this helps.
