I have two raters on separate computers using nvivo 9 (no server). Can I download one coder work into the other computer in order to check for inter rater reliability?

Hi Megan,

NVivo for Windows project files are identified by .nvp extension and locate in Documents folder by default. You should first move both the files to the same PC by simply copying the project file to a usb drive. You can then open one project and import the other into your opened project. Please refer to the link below for instructions:

Once the projects have been merged, you can run a Coding Comparison Query to check inter-rater reliability. Please refer to the link below for detailed information:

http://help-nv9-en.qsrinternational.com/nv9_help.htm#procedures/run_a_coding_comparison_query.htm

I hope this helps.

Regards,

Bhupesh
