I have a coding matrix of cases by a few nodes. I want to produce a report of the text coded at the specified nodes for each case. It should look something like this:

Case 1

Node 1:

Text..text..text …

Node 2:

Text..text..text …

Case 2

Node 1:

Text..text..text …

Node 2:

Text..text..text …

Etc.

Does anyone know how to do this?

Hi Charlie,

You can consider using Framework Matrices to achieve this. Framework matrices provide a way to summarize or condense your source materials in a grid that has rows for case nodes (for example, people you interviewed) and columns for theme nodes. Refer to the link below for more information:

http://help-nv11.qsrinternational.com/desktop/concepts/about_framework_matrices.htm

You may want to use Auto Summarize feature in Framework Matrices to fill up the matrix cells automatically with coded text. Refer to the link below:

http://help-nv11.qsrinternational.com/desktop/procedures/work_with_framework_matrices.htm#Automatically_create_summaries_from_coding

I hope this helps.

Kind Regards,

Bhupesh

Hi Charlie, I'd like that feature too.

Matrices are so useful to see your text side by side for qual analysis. I find only limited use from the node counts in matrices.

Someone has raised this on canny already here: https://nvivo.canny.io/features/p/export-data
and here:

Feel free to upvote it = )
