Hi!

Is there a way to extract the text and the codes I placed on them so that I can train a machine learning algorithm to do the rest of my coding for me?

For example, I have the following text:

"Using the system increases my productivity."

I coded "system" with the 'technology' node, "using" as an action, and "job" as a task. Now I just need to export the original texts and have some way to track the codes I assigned to words.

Hi,

This can be done using the 'autocode by existing coding patterns' feature, available in NVivo Plus edition. For more information on this feature and the steps to use it, please see the following link:

Hope this helps.

That's great, and a much needed feature, I imagine.

Unfortunately, my goal is to push the state-of-the-art of natural language processing, not to use an existing feature. Is there any way to extract my added text with their codes? per the original question?

Kai 🙂
