I have open-ended survey results in Excel format: one file for PRE responses, one for POST. They use ID for each student response.

I have not created cases for each row (I thought that was done automatically).

I have coded all of the content.

Two questions:

1) What is the best way to turn the Excel data into cases? I tried after looking in the knowledge base but it did not seem to work.

2) My client now wants to know about how one of the post question was coded, and by gender. I have a file with the ID and gender. How do I assign gender to the POST responses cases? I tried importing that sheet as a file classification sheet but it did not work.

3) Can I match the PRE and POST responses somehow to create a "super case"?
