double coding

Recommended Posts

Guest muteb

I would like to ask about double coding. When I try to code a consecutive text separately with the same code, it shows me that it is coded once. I would like to know if there is a way to coded it twice instead of showing as a one code.

I hope it was clearly explained.

Hello, If you are coding the same text in the code to another code you can use coding stripes to help see where it has been coded. https://help-nv.qsrinternational.com/20/win/Content/coding/coding-stripes.htm?Highlight=coding stripes

NVivo keeps track of coding references or each part of the text that you code. Hope this helps.

Thank you Stacy. Coding a consecutive text three times separately with the same code shows on the code strip that there is only one long code, but it shows that it is coded three times in the references (number of times coded) are three. Is that mean I can use it in matrix as a one code or three codes based on references?

Many thanks!
