I am new to using NVivo. I have NVivo 12 for Mac on my computer and have started coding with one file. However, although I initially added 2 linked memos last week, I have been unable to link memos this week. The linked memos space is greyed out. I have tried checking for updates, switched computer off and on- searched the internet and cannot find a solution. I can add new memos but can't link them. I wondered if someone on here could kindly advise? Thanks in advance, Fi

Hi Fi, could can only link one memo per document. See this link: https://help-nv.qsrinternational.com/12/mac/v12.1.101-d3ea61/Content/notes/links.htm

Check if there is already an existing linked memo for the project item.  Contact us here if you need more help: https://support.qsrinternational.com/nvivo/s/

Thank you so much for getting back to me Canarik and QSR Support. I have tried to add more than one memo to a document- so that explains it.

I'm a little sad to learn that only one per document can be linked ...since the document I'm coding is triggering all sorts of thoughts and ideas. However, at least I know now and can try to find an alternative way to collate my thoughts.

Thanks again, I appreciate your support.
